The GR1 is GORUCK’s original military-grade rucksack and its most popular piece of gear, optimized for both rucking / tactical bodyweight training and reliable everyday backpack use.

This version of the GR1 pack is manufactured in the USA utilizing only the best materials, including durable 1000D CORDURA and YKK zippers with silent pulls. Each rucksack requires 4 hours to hand-build and is strength tested at over 400 LBS.

The American-made GR1 is currently available here in the 21L or 26L size, and comes with a bombproof laptop compartment, MOLLE compatibility, extra-padded straps, multiple small accessory pockets, open-flat versatility, and 2×3” Velcro for adding a patch.
